Tony Chiu-Wai Leung, who stars in Ildikó Enyedi’s latest film Silent Friend, will visit the 30th BIFF. This marks his first visit to Busan in three years, following his recognition as the Asian Filmmaker of the Year at BIFF 2022. The film has drawn global attention for Enyedi’s signature delicacy, further elevated by Tony’s presence. As one of the most beloved icons representing Hong Kong and Asia, his visit is set to heighten the festive atmosphere of BIFF.
Tony will greet audiences during the post-screening Q&A sessions for Silent Friend on September 24 at 15:30 (Cinema 2, Busan Cinema Center) and September 25 at 19:30 (Cinema 1, Busan Cinema Center). He will also join the Open Talk at the BIFF Outdoor Stage, offering candid and engaging conversations with festival audiences. Full details of the Open Talk will be updated on the official BIFF website.
Meanwhile, following its grand launch on September 17 at Busan Cinema Center, the 30th BIFF continues to engage audiences with a rich and diverse line-up of programs. |
