Opening and Closing Ceremony Photo Zone Pass

For coverage of the 30th Busan International Film Festival Opening/Closing Ceremonies, please apply for the Photo Zone Pass.
Follow the guide below and register during the application period as on-site registration for the Photo Zone Pass will not be available.

Photo Zone Selection Guide

  • Only Photo Zone Pass Holders can cover Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
  • Photo and filming spots for each press outlet will be determined by a numbered ticket raffle on Opening Day.

[Number Ticket Raffle for the Spot Selection]

  • - Photography: 10:10 A.M. on October 4th (Wed) 1F BIFF Hill, Busan Cinema Center.
  • - Video: 10:20 A.M. on October 4th (Wed) 1F BIFF Hill, Busan Cinema Center.

[Spot Selection]

  • - 10:30 A.M. October 4th (Wed) in the front of the Photo Wall, Busan Cinema Center
  • *Press may select the preferred spot in order of the raffle.
    (ex. calling one’s name from 1 to 10 → select one’s spot one by one in order of the raffle)
  • * There may be disadvantages for the spot to media not attending the raffle.

Drop Zone Press Area

· Guest Drop Photo Zone is a Press Zone between the Guest Drop Zone and Double Cone.

  • Only Press T(Technician) Badge Holders can cover in the Drop Zone.
  • Photo and filming spots for each press outlet will be determined by a numbered ticket raffle on Opening Day.

[Raffle for the Spot Selection]

  • - October 4th (Wed), 2023, 11:00 A.M. at Drop Zone Red Carpet (must have the Press T(Technician) Badge)

[Spot Selection]

  • - Drop Photo Zone raffle will start at 11:00 A.M.
  • - Photography/Video will each have a separate raffle.
  • - You MUST have your Press T(Technician) Badge to participate in the raffle.
  • - Other wait lists attached to the Photo Zone area will not be valid.

[Covering guide]

  • - The Busan International Film Festival does not allow sound bites in the Red Carpet of the Opening Ceremony.

Opening/Closing Ceremony Photo Zone Pass Issuance Guideline

To ensure smooth coverage, only one(1) photographer and one(1) video reporter per media will be issued a Photo Zone Pass. We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation as the following guidelines will be strictly followed.

『The BUSAN International Film Festival Opening/Closing Ceremony Photo Zone Pass Issuance Guideline』 (1) Only Press T (Technician) badge holders (photographers, video journalists) will be able to apply for and receive the Opening/Closing Ceremony Photo Zone Pass; other press badge holders (Press) are not eligible.

(2) The Opening/Closing Ceremony Photo Zone Pass guideline takes into consideration the attendance history of the registering media (subject to the on-site collection of Press Badges), and the frequency of their coverage of the Busan International Film Festival.

(3) Priority consideration for the 2025 Opening/Closing Ceremony Photo Zone Pass issuance will be given to the accredited press that had covered both opening and closing ceremonies in 2024. (Moreover, the press covering both the opening and closing ceremonies this year will be given priority for next year’s pass issuance.)
(4) Please understand that there may be disadvantages if you have a history of not collecting the Opening/Closing Ceremony Photo Zone Pass despite having applied for it.

Important Notice

  • Opening/Closing Ceremony Photo Zone Pass is only valid on the days of the opening and closing ceremonies.
  • Opening/Closing Ceremony Photo Zone Pass does not grant access to the screening of the opening and closing films, or the covering the interiors of the opening and closing ceremonies.
  • Entrance to other festival venues (Asian Contents & Film Market, Video Library, Press Conference, Press Center, Guest Visit, Seminar, etc.) is not possible with an Opening/Closing Ceremony Photo Zone Pass.
  • The Press Center will be available to pass holders on the days of the opening and closing ceremonies.
  • On-site application for the Opening/Closing Ceremony Photo Zone Pass will not be available.
  • Only Opening/Closing Ceremony Photo Zone Pass holders can enter Photo Zone.
