Films Riding the Wind Path, Everywhere BIFF!

Beyond Busan, 15 Venues Become Cinema Paradiso!

BIFF Everywhere, a beloved program of the locals, unveils its event schedule, aiming to bring the Festival to all areas of Busan and beyond once again.

BIFF Everywhere is a community-friendly festival that extends its venues across Busan, beyond its traditional hub in Haeundae, allowing audiences to encounter cinema as part of their everyday lives. Founded in 2021, it returns for its 5th edition with screenings of acclaimed films, guest conversations, and immersive cultural programs across the city.

The 2025 theme, “Wind Path,” reflects the hope that those exhausted by their busy lives may find a path leading them to the festival. Expanding to six more venues than last year, the program now reaches 15 sites across Busan, and for the first time extends to Yangsan, Gyeongsangnam-do. At Pusan National University Children’s Hospital, a picture book adaptation will be presented with a special live dubbing event, supporting the Busan–Ulsan–Gyeongnam Megacity initiative. This year’s edition also significantly expands its animation offerings, presenting 36 short and feature-length works for audiences of all ages.

168 The Deck, Busan’s Night-View Gem, Lights Up as a Cinema!

Overlooking North Port and the Busan Harbor Bridge, 168 The Deck will host screenings and live events. On September 18 (Thu) at 18:30, the band Humming Project opens the evening, followed by Blue Giant, praised for its powerful jazz sequences and nuanced performances, with commentary from music director Mowg. On September 19 (Fri) at 18:30, Hear Me: Our Summer, a youth romance starring Hong Kyung, Roh Yoon-seo, and Kim Min-ju, will screen, preceded by a Q&A with director Jo Seon-ho and an interactive sign-language session.

A Night of Captivating Performances and Cinematic Tales at the Coffee Bar!

At MOMOS Coffee Yeongdo Roastery & Coffee Bar, which offers a panoramic view of Busan Harbor, audiences can enjoy unique programs blending coffee, music, and film. On September 18 (Thu) at 19:30, Time to Be Strong, winner of three prizes at the Jeonju International Film Festival, will screen, preceded by a live performance of the score by band Byul.org and a Q&A with director Namkoong Sun, actresses Choi Sung-eun, and Kang Chaeyun. On September 19 (Fri), a Yeongdo community performance and Barista Talk will precede the screening of Kore-eda Hirokazu’s acclaimed film Still Walking.

At Dadaepo Sunset Fountain of Dreams, the family animation Heartspring: Teenieping of Love will screen on September 20 (Sat) and 21 (Sun) with a fountain show. On the 20th, singer and voice actor Lee Yong-shin, famed for Full Moon o Sagashite, will perform before the dubbed screening. At Eco Delta City, on September 19 (Fri), a performance by music director Yonrimog, winner of Best Music at the Buil Film Awards, will precede the screening of Wonka.

Other family-friendly selections include It’s Okay, About Family, Dog Days, Baby Driver, Ride Like a Girl, and Top Gun: Maverick, along with acclaimed short films at diverse venues such as Gimhae International Airport’s duty-free zone, Let’s Run Park Busan, Taejongdae Drive-in Theater, Jeonpo Station, SPACE BYULIL, and Gori Sports & Culture Center. On September 25 (Thu), BIFF Everywhere will also bring the excitement to Seoul with screenings of the acclaimed shorts First Summer and D-Day, Friday at the National Assembly.
