The 29th Busan International Film Festival has released the schedule for main events including Master Classes, the Hand-Printing Ceremony, and Special Talks.

Master Class:
Ann HUI, Miguel GOMES, KUROSAWA Kiyoshi

The Master Classes provide an opportunity to look into the lives of renowned directors and their cinematic vision. Three personages are invited this year to hold Master Classes: Ann HUI, a leader of the Hong Kong New Wave and icon of Asian cinema; Miguel GOMES, who received the Best Director Award at Cannes Film Festival this year for Grand Tour, and KUROSAWA Kiyoshi, master of genre films as well as recipient of this year’s Asian Filmmaker of the Year Award.

Hand-Printing Ceremony: Miguel GOMES

The Hand-Printing Ceremony is an event organized to celebrate and honor the work and legacy of great cineastes. This year Miguel Gomes will be attending the event. The Hand-Printing Ceremony will take place after Grand Tour, for which the director recently received the Best Director Award at the Cannes Film Festival, is screened as part of the Gala Presentation Section. His attendance at the 29th Busan International Film Festival also marking his first visit to Korea, director Miguel Gomes will be sharing a truly marvelous moment with BIFF’s audience through the Hand-Printing Ceremony as well as the Master Class.

This Special Talk will be an opportunity to commemorate the late actor Lee Sun-kyun, joined by actors and directors with whom he collaborated in his major works selected for the Special Program in Focus.

Outdoor Greeting: Meet the Directors and Cast

|
The Outdoor Greeting is an event where directors and cast members of the official selections introduce their film. Each event will take place for around 20 minutes at BIFF Theatre, Busan Cinema Center.
