PRESS SERVICE

▣ Opening, Closing Ceremony Photo Zone Pass

• Grants exclusive access to the Photo Zone set up at the Roof Theater (BIFF Theater) of the Busan Cinema
• The Pass is valid only on the day of the respective Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
• The Pass can be applied for in addition to the Press T (Technician) badge.

▣ Application Period and Guide

▣ Photo Zone Spot Drawing

• Access to the Photo Zone is strictly for the Photo Zone Pass holders.
• Spots within the Photo Zone will be assigned through a numbered drawing on the day of each event, open exclusively to Photo Zone Pass holders.

▣ Drop Zone Press Area

• The Drop Zone Press Area is the press area located between the Guest Drop Zone and the Double Cone.
• Only Press T (Technician) badge holders are permitted to conduct photo and video coverage in the Drop Zone Press Area.
• Spots within the Drop Zone Press Area will be assigned through a numbered drawing on the day of each event, open exclusively to Press T Badge holders.

▣ Photo Zone Pass Issuance Regulation

Due to limited space, passes will be issued to one photographer and one video journalist per media outlet to ensure efficient coverage. Issuance will follow these regulations:

Photo Zone Pass Issuance Regulations』

(1) Access to the Photo Zone and Drop Zone Press Area is strictly restricted to Press T (Technician) Badge holders. Additionally, a separate Photo Zone Pass is required to enter the Photo Zone. Field reporters or print journalists are not eligible to receive a Photo Zone Pass.

(2) Photo Zone Passes are issued based on factors including past Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) attendance (measured by Press Badges collected) and the frequency of BIFF coverage and publication exposure.

(3) Outlets that received Photo Zone Passes in the previous year and covered both the Opening and Closing Ceremonies will be classified as priority candidates for the 2026 Photo Zone Pass issuance. (Covering both the Opening and Closing Ceremonies this year qualifies the outlet for priority consideration next year.)

(4) Please understand that applicants with a history of applying for a Photo Zone Pass but failing to collect it may face disadvantages during the current year's pass issuance.

▣ Important Notice

• The Photo Zone Pass for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies is only valid on the respective ceremony day.
• The Photo Zone Pass is only for the Photo Zone of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, not for screenings of the Opening and Closing films or coverage inside the venue.
• The Photo Zone Pass for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies does not allow access to other event areas (such as Asia Content & Film Market, Video Library, Press Conference, Press Center, GV, Seminars, etc.).
• The Press Center is available for use on both Opening and Closing days.
• Photo Zone Pass will be issued with prior application, and on-site application is not allowed.
• Smartphone photography and filming may be restricted within the Photo Zone and Drop Zone Press Area.
