BIFF for All!
Sharing the Joy of Cinema!
Barrier-Free Screenings, Dedicated Ticketing for Audiences with Limited Digital Access & Tickets for Giving with Warmth

BIFF has continued to present Barrier-Free screenings to make cinema more accessible to all, offering audio description for audiences with visual impairments and closed captions for audiences with hearing impairments. This year, 11 films will be presented in Barrier-Free versions: Dora in Gala Presentation; Everything Everywhere All at Once and Sandiwara in Special Program in Focus; Fjord in Icons; BALER and Beyond Love’s Horizon in Vision – Korea; Cattle Run and The Sorry Generation in Korean Cinema Today – Special Premiere; Sad Girlz and Bedford Park in Flash Forward; and Our Wish, Our Colors in Wide Angle – Documentary Showcase.

The dedicated on-site ticketing service for audiences with limited digital access, introduced last year to lower barriers to festival screenings, will be expanded this year. A limited number of seats will be available for on-site purchase by seniors aged 65 and over (born in 1961 or earlier) and persons with disabilities. This year, the service will be available at all BIFF Ticket Boxes, where eligible audiences can purchase tickets for same-day and next-day general screenings. On the opening day, however, only tickets for the following day’s general screenings will be available at the BIFF Outdoor Ticket Box at Busan Cinema Center.

BIFF will also continue its social contribution program, ‘Tickets for Giving with Warmth’, as part of its efforts to give back to the community through cinema. A portion of ticket sales from films marked with the ♣ symbol on the screening schedule will be donated to major nonprofit organizations, including the Community Chest of Korea and Good Neighbors. Audiences can take part in the initiative simply by attending one of the designated screenings. This year, ‘Tickets for Giving with Warmth’ will feature a total of 15 films. The lineup includes A Girl’s Story in Gala Presentation; Ugly Duckling Ms. Maeng, Still Shining, SINNER, and Final Interview in Korean Cinema Today – Panorama; Our Wish, Our Colors, Baby Jackfruit Baby Guava, and Time and Tide in Wide Angle – Documentary Showcase; Birds on Ice, In My Father’s Room, Not a Hero, and Four Seasons in Java in A Window on Asian Cinema; and Back to Buenos Aires, Red Rocks, and Tender Loving Care in Icons.

The full screening schedule will be released on September 11 (Fri), 17:00 KST, and all ticket reservations can be made online at the BIFF official website (https://www.biff.kr/). During the festival, tickets that remain unsold online or become available through cancellations may be purchased at BIFF Ticket Boxes.

With its ticket reservation schedule now confirmed, the 31st BIFF is gearing up to welcome audiences from October 6 (Tue) to 15 (Thu) at Busan Cinema Center and nearby venues.
