Actors’ House, one of BIFF’s signature programs, returns this year with an even more impressive lineup. Since its launch in 2021, Actors’ House has been warmly received each year as a special talk program that invites leading contemporary actors with outstanding acting prowess and star power to revisit their filmographies and offer an honest and in-depth look into their acting philosophies and untold behind-the-scenes stories. This year, six actors — Kim Goeun, Kim Minha, Ryu Seung-ryong, Shin Mina, Lee Minho, and Ju Jihoon — will take part, heightening anticipation for the upcoming event.
First, Kim Goeun, whose remarkable range has made her an unrivaled presence across film and television, comes to Actors’ House. Since making a striking debut in Eungyo (2012), she has captivated audiences by fully inhabiting every role in works including Coin Locker Girl (2015), Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (2016), and Love in the Big City (2024). Following the box-office success of Exhuma (2024), which surpassed 10 million admissions, she has continued her prolific run with You and Everything Else (2025), The Price of Confession (2025), and the Yumi’s Cells series (2021, 2022, 2026). During her visit to Busan, she will look back on her acting journey through the many characters she has portrayed and share a special moment with audiences.
Kim Minha, the sole host of this year’s BIFF Opening Ceremony and a lead in the Opening Film The Table: Day and Night (2026) and the On Screen selection Dead-End Job (2026), will also join the Actors’ House lineup. She drew worldwide attention with the global sensation Pachinko (2022, 2024) and went on to deliver emotionally nuanced performances in Light Shop (2024), Typhoon Family (2025), and Hana Korea (2026). At Actors’ House, Kim — an actor with boundless potential to become a driving force in Korean cinema — will speak candidly about topics ranging from her unique approach to projects and characters to her growth and challenges as an actor.
Ryu Seung-ryong, whose performances consistently move audiences while delivering both emotional depth and humor, will take the Actors’ House stage. Through numerous celebrated works, including War of the Arrows (2011), All About My Wife (2012), Miracle in Cell No. 7 (2013), Extreme Job (2019), and Life Is Beautiful (2022), he has established himself as a mainstay of Korean cinema. His realistic and relatable portrayal in the series The Dream Life of Mr. Kim (2025) resonated strongly with audiences and earned him the Grand Prize in the Broadcast Category at the Baeksang Arts Awards 2026, once again reaffirming his status as one of Korea’s most trusted performers. Ahead of the premiere of Cattle Run (2026), selected for BIFF’s Korean Cinema Today-Special Premiere, he will share his philosophy on bringing multidimensional characters to life, along with the profound dedication behind his work, at Actors’ House.
Shin Mina, who has revealed a fresh side of herself in every project, moving seamlessly from charming romantic comedies to suspense thrillers, will meet audiences in Busan. After demonstrating her depth in genre storytelling through The Devil (2007), she won over audiences with numerous hits, including My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho (2010), My Love, My Bride (2014), and Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021). By taking on challenging roles across genres in works such as Diva (2020), Karma (2025), and The Eyes (2026), she has further showcased the growing depth of her craft. She is now drawing renewed attention as one of the leads in The Remarried Empress (2026), selected for BIFF’s On Screen section. At Actors’ House, she will share the passion and deep reflection that go into taking on each new character, captivating audiences.
Lee Minho, who made an indelible impression on viewers worldwide through the global hit Pachinko (2022, 2024), will meet audiences in Busan. After emerging as a central figure in the Korean Wave with Boys Over Flowers (2009), he took on his first leading role on the big screen in Gangnam Blues (2015) and won Best New Actor at the Daejong Film Awards 2015, proving his solid acting abilities. Since then, he has continued to embrace bold challenges through The Legend of the Blue Sea (2016), The King: Eternal Monarch (2020), Omniscient Reader (2025), and the forthcoming film The Assassin(s) (2026). At Actors’ House, he will reflect on the challenges and transformations that have shaped his career and discuss where he hopes to go next as an actor and the questions that continue to drive him.
Ju Jihoon, known for bringing a singular presence to every project, including Kingdom (2019, 2020) and The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call (2025), joins Actors’ House. He first captured the public’s attention with Princess Hours (2006) before leading the Along with the Gods series (2017, 2018) to back-to-back box-office successes, with each film surpassing 10 million admissions. Through hard-edged films such as Asura: The City of Madness (2016), The Spy Gone North (2018), and Dark Figure of Crime (2018), he demonstrated his extraordinary ability to inhabit a broad range of characters, cementing his status as one of Korea’s leading performers across both film and television. Set to reveal another side of himself in the On Screen selection The Remarried Empress (2026), he will trace the development of his distinctive acting style and create special memories at Actors’ House.
