Applications for 2026 BIFF volunteers will be open from June 11 (Thu) to July 12 (Sun). Volunteers will actively engage in various sectors across the Busan Cinema Center and venues throughout the city. As an indispensable part of BIFF, they will provide support for screenings, audience services, guest assistance, and a wide range of on-site operations. Volunteers have long contributed to BIFF’s success, bringing energy and excitement to the festive scene. This year, they will once again take part in every corner of the on-site festival experience, helping create lively encounters between audiences, guests, and films.
BIFF is recruiting volunteers across 15 teams and 24 divisions this year. The festival welcomes individuals with a passion for cinema, and applications are open to all Korean nationals aged 18 or older, as well as foreign nationals holding a valid residence card. The following departments are open for applications: ▲ Management Support ▲ Public Relations ▲ Program ▲ Customer Relations ▲ Community BIFF ▲ Marketing & External Relations ▲ Asian Contents & Film Market ▲ Jiseok Film Institute. Activity periods and working hours may vary depending on the division.
Selected candidates will receive a uniform, bag and badge (ID card), along with supporting allowance to help cover meal and transportation expenses. Service hours can be registered through the 1365 Volunteer Portal, and an official letter requesting school attendance cooperation can be issued upon request.
